This month, Nine Rocks Games turned five.
It’s been more than a week since our anniversary, and we still feel the warmth and energy of the celebration. We’re incredibly grateful to be doing what we love - creating video games that bring joy and meaningful experiences to players around the world.
While Nine Rocks Games is a young studio on paper, many of us have been part of the Slovak game development scene for decades. From our early days as Cauldron, working on titles like Spellcross and Chaser, through years of developing Cabela’s hunting games for Activision, and contributing to DayZ at Bohemia Interactive, video games have always been at the core of who we are.
But that’s the past. Today, we are Nine Rocks Games. We're focused on the future - growing together, building something lasting, and staying true to the craft we care about.
Our title, Way of the Hunter, launched in 2022. Since then, we’ve continued supporting it with updates, new features, and DLCs - listening to our community and doing our best to improve the experience. The feedback and support from players worldwide mean the world to us. Thank you for being on this journey with us!
We celebrated the anniversary together as a team, with food, games, music, and a fun quiz (shoutout to the winning team!). Moments like that remind us how lucky we are to walk this path with people we genuinely enjoy working with.
We’re a team of 62 people today - an evolving mix of experienced devs and fresh faces - and we’re proud of the culture we’re building. We believe in making great games, but also in helping each other grow, staying curious, and doing things the right way.
To everyone who’s supported us so far - players, partners, friends, families: THANK YOU.
