Hi hunters, after yesterday’s update 1.29.1, some of you reported an issue where certain herds may have their genetic potential reset after loading your save. This may not affect everyone, but it can impact specific herds across different maps. We’re actively investigating this and working on a hotfix as quickly as possible.

If you haven’t launched the game since Update 1.29.1, please create a backup of your save files before loading the game, just to ensure your current progression is protected while we work on the fix.

How to Back Up Your Save Files on PC:
1. Close the game.
2. Navigate to your save folder: Press Windows key + R key, and paste %localappdata%/WayOfTheHunter, then press OK.
3. Copy the entire Saved Folder.
4. Paste it somewhere safe (e.g., Desktop, another drive, or cloud storage).

For players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 who haven’t downloaded or launched the update yet, we recommend waiting to play until the hotfix is released.
